Wasaya Air

The first leg of your adventure to Way North Lodge will start with Wasaya Air Service from the Red Lake Airport to the Sandy Lake Airport. Your flight with Wasaya Air is on- board an IFR rated Cessna Caravan and will take approximately 45 minutes.

Sandy Lake Seaplane

Upon arrival into the Sandy Lake Airport you will be greeted by Sandy Lake Seaplane Service and shuttled directly to the Sandy Lake Seaplane Airbase for your departure to Way North Lodge. This final leg of your travel journey will be on-board a float plane and will take approximately 15 minutes.

Red Lake Airport Parking

For those of you who are driving to Red Lake, there will be parking available at the Red Lake Airport. Please advise if you will need a parking stall at the Red Lake Airport.

Shuttle Service

Shuttle/Taxi Service from the Red Lake airport to either hotels or your last minute shopping needs will be available. Fees for this service will apply. Please call us at least two weeks prior to your trip to reconfirm your reservation and advise us if you require these services from the airport.

Weight Restrictions

Please be advised that weight restrictions are mandatory for all float planes. If you are booked on either the American Plan or the Housekeeping package you will be allowed 100 lb of gear per person. Anything over the weight restrictions for either package you will be charged accordingly by the air service directly before departing to the lodge.
